The season of Nashville Star started last night. We were so excited to watch all the amazing singers. There were about 6,000 who auditioned in Burbank where Japheth did and only a few hundred made the cut. The "Nashville Star" 'ticket' that Japheth is holding is his ticket for day two of tryouts. He made the second cut and we were very proud of him. While we were there, we saw amazing talent and were very shocked last night to see, not so much talent! We could not believe who they had picked. The black guy who is on the show was actually at Japheth's audition and we think he deserves to be there. From the moment we heard him at the audition, we knew he'd be there. Japheth also knows the three sisters - he used to sing with them in a bar in Nashville. Other than that, we were pretty much disappointed. Japheth said he will try again next year if it doesn't conflict with fishing or hunting!
Addison was so good the whole weekend. The camera followed us around a lot and we are glad that none of it was aired.

Japheth, don't give up!! You have what it takes and there will always be a deer and fish to go get, even if i have to get them at the meat market for you :-) But only you can sing like you do, so share it at the Nashville Star audition. You have another year to write more and build your confidence. Just believe in yourself as we all believe in you and you will get your dream. Love your proud mom and dad
